Pinot Noir
Single Variety
Adelaide Hills (65%) + Tasmania (35%)
At release, the wine is a medium red with a slightly youthful purple hue and brilliant clarity.
The wine is highly aromatic with a perfume of ripe strawberry and subtle confectionary notes, layered with floral elements and lifted varietal character. Blue fruits such as violet, blueberry, and hints of cassis are evident, with French oak offering a delicate, distant backdrop.
This is a medium-bodied wine with a vibrant and expressive palate. There are generous cassis flavours driven by fresh acidity, supported by a fleshy mid-palate and subtle French oak. Overall, the palate is bright and well-rounded, with impressive intensity and a long, energetic finish.
The wine was matured in premium old French oak barrels - so as not to overpower the delicacy of the fruit - for 8 months before being bottled.
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
