A favourite for holiday season celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 ham leg
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 10 whole cloves
- 1\/2 cup honey
- 1\/2 cup dijon or french mustard
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup orange juice
- \u00bc cup apple cider vinegar
Method
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees celsius. Prepare the ham by removing the outer skin and rind and score the ham across diagonally in a crosshatch pattern and insert cloves into the diamond-shaped spaces.
- Mix together rest of ingredients into a pot and whisk to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium high heat, then simmer until thick and reduced for about 10 minutes.
- Brush the glaze on to the ham and place on to a roasting rack.
- Bake in oven for around an hour, basting half way through cooking, until the glaze is caramelized or the ham reaches 65\u00b0C.
- Slice the ham and serve.
